Swimming
ADULT POOLS
There are four pools: Cottonwood, Cottonwood Lap, Palo Verde and Michigan Avenue designed for homeowners and their guests 16 years and older. Homeowners, guests, renters and associate members may utilize swimming pools and spas.
- Pools are open daily from 7:00 AM (with the exception of the Cottonwood Pool which opens at 5:00 AM) to 11:00 PM.
- No children under the age of 10 years are permitted in these pools at any time.
- Children 10 years and over are permitted in the Cottonwood and Palo Verde pools during the hours of 12:00 noon to 2:00 PM.
- Homeowners must accompany children or guests without a valid Guest Card.
- Swimmers must shower before entering swimming pools.
- No oils are permitted in the pools (water-soluble lotions are allowed).
- No floats or tubes are permitted in pools (water wings and noodles are acceptable).
- Only alcoholic beverages purchased from Association restaurants/bars are allowed in designated areas near the Cottonwood, Lap, and Palo Verde pools. Alcoholic beverages brought from home are permitted at the Michigan and Children’s pools.
- No loud music is allowed.
- No glass containers are permitted in the pool areas.
- Swim at own risk - no lifeguard is on duty.
- Sun Lakes Country Club and IronOaks homeowners may use Cottonwood Palo Verde pools in accordance with the terms of the respective Reciprocal Agreements.
- Proper and tasteful swim attire is required (no cut-offs are permitted).
- The Homeowner Code of Conduct must be followed when using HOA pools.
CHILDREN'S POOL
(West end of Cottonwood Country Club)
The children's pool is open to all Cottonwood Palo Verde homeowners and their guests under 16 years of age. Children may swim at anytime during the hours of 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM. No lifeguard on duty. ADULT SUPERVISION OF ALL CHILDREN IS MANDATORY.
The children’s pool is open to Sun Lakes Country Club and IronOaks homeowners and guests under the age of 16 in accordance with the terms of the respective Reciprocal Agreements. Refer to agreements for specific usage.
Infants and toddlers must wear disposable diapers which are designed for swimming.
