SILVER FOXES

In 1987 seven ladies and Lorraine Twitchell who had been part of the Forever Young dancers in Scottsdale formed the Sun Lakes Silver Foxes.  The original group consisted of 8 members.  Lorraine choreographs and teaches the routines as well as performs.  Through the years there have been 28 different ladies performing with the group.  At this time there are 10 dancers in the group that range in age from 60 to 82 years young.  Some had some dancing experience and others did not start dancing until their retirement.

The Silver Foxes have performed all over the valley in malls, nursing homes charities, senior centers, Chanel 3 Good Morning AZ, State Fair, Ostrich Festival and have been the opening act for Tiny Tim and for Dick Clark (American Heart Association.  They also performed in Tucson, Lake Havasu, Pinetop, Laughlin, Las Vegas and Disneyland.
